You Are Normal

Sometimes I feel much pain when I think of the bad things that go on during times of strife or famine. I wonder why human lives aren’t treated as if they have value and this makes me cry without sound or movement from my body. All I feel are the many tears that gush from my eyes onto my cheeks and down to my lips where I can sense how salty tears can be. I’d be willing to bet that there are many other people out there who feel the same way. Perhaps this is why I wrote this post is to inform those that they are not alone in their compassionate suffering. You are normal!

Disbelief Has No Place At The Table

So a friend of mine posted an article stating that COVID-19 has the same fatality rate as seasonal influenza… The problem with this is that it isn’t even flu season yet and from what I hear about the United States death toll and surging case reports after reopening, it isn’t looking good. To help you understand my view, when is the last time you heard of an entire residence at an old age home dying from the flu? If this sort of thing does happen why aren’t we informed or why haven’t we heard it through the grapevine in passing conversation. When the second wave hits during flu season I pray that we will have finally realized that disbelief has no place at the table. I’m ashamed to have a friend that refuses to follow any logic and be safer than sorry. Maybe they’re just too afraid to admit that something bigger than their own ego is happening. These types of people always blame the government for trying to control us and lie to us yet… they probably voted which supports all governing democratic bodies currently seeking as many seats in the house as possible. The only thing wrong with democracy is the people of disbelief and fear thinking they know better than the people in charge who have made it their life’s work to understand and properly lead.

I have so much more I could say about the ridiculous posts of this friend I speak of but I fear it will only lead to an argument that makes no sense.

This is just a rant and I am sorry if I offended anyone during my bout of frustration. I also apologize if you didn’t understand my words. 😛

A Comedian.

Mr. President, comments about kung-flu won’t change the death toll of your people. Blame China all you want, it still doesn’t justify anything about your childish personality. I know you’ll never read this but people gotta vent ya know? I’m not even from the United States and ya make me wanna bitch!

The president mocked China again during the historical onset of COVID-19 in a racist effort to self-promote and change public opinion on his handling of the pandemic.

Fear Not Sadness.

The memory of your sadness will never go away. This memory can in turn make you sad again, But, fear not! Sadness is a perfectly healthy response confirming that you feel love. When someone you love gets hurt you feel sad or angry for them simply because you love them. Try to remember all sadness comes from the drive of love which can invoke a wide range of emotion. The memory of your sadness is in response of your drive to love.

Game on!

Sports and leagues are planning on opening up again with major changes being made for example, there won’t be anybody in the seats because of the COVID-19 outbreak. Golf is back while the NBA is on course to a July 31st reopening. Major League Soccer will also be making their return early next month.

The MLB is going back and forth without any real decisions being made meanwhile the NHL is a go for sure. They just need to set a date and play into the summer. They will also be choosing two buildings to play in for the season reducing the transfer of disease. There will be no fans in the seats which should make for some interesting dialogue one normally wouldn’t hear with all of that noise from the crowd being non-existent.

“Deprived of Their Childhood” – Pope Francis

Friday June 12, 2020 makes World Day Against Child Labour. “In the current health emergency situation, in several countries many children and young people are forced into jobs that are inappropriate for their age in order to help their families in conditions of extreme poverty.” Pope Francis explained.

“We are all responsible for the scourge of child labour.” His Holiness appealed to the international community to protect boys and girls who are forced into child labour losing their childhoods and more.

Widespread Solidarity

Protests outside the white house with President Trump inside have reached the largest anti-racism and anti-police brutality demonstration during the last week of assembly. Protesters are also opposed to the way Trump has been handling the growing situation.

I’m reminded of 2016 when American athletes took a knee during the United States national anthem in protest of racism and police brutality. In solidarity protesters in many cities have been taking a knee which is proving to be a very effective strategy in every place where there is indignation due to the injustice of racism and police brutality. Even Prime Minister Justin Trudeau of Canada took a knee. Many leaders and even police officers in several cities have joined the protesters in support of the cause.

Vatican City Remains Healthy

Vatican City currently has no confirmed cases of coronavirus said The Director of the Holy See Press Office, Matteo Bruni, announcing that the last person in the Vatican to have been reported sick in the past few weeks also tested negative for COVID-19.

This simply proves that it is possible to defeat the transmission of the virus through proper measures that we’ve all been learning about over the last several months. This good news comes to us after a statement released on Saturday from the Holy See.
